The New Royal Suite at The Savoy

When The Savoy reopened in 2010, a Royal Suite was introduced to represent the pinnacle of luxury and to offer a traditional London experience against the backdrop of unrivalled views of the River Thames and iconic landmarks. In may last year, the new Royal Suite responded to the expectations of a modern luxury traveller and began offering a more residential style of accommodation that meets the desire to “live in the space as if living at home”.

Titans of industry, world leaders, and visiting royalty, will now enjoy an apartment-like space that not only represents the height of luxury, but that also reflects the style of home they would choose to reside in themselves.

With award-winning designer Pierre-Yves Rochon and ReardonSmith Architects heading up the design, The Royal Suite at The Savoy has been remodelled to enhance the heart of the space and encourage harmonious flow between the rooms. The living spaces, whilst luxurious, reflect a comfortable and less formal experience. In the Living Room a new private luxury bar is clad with an exquisite rippled glass façade and floor to ceiling windows afford guests the most enviable and spectacular river views in London.

A Royal Entourage

Guests of The Royal Suite have 24-hour access to their own dedicated Savoy Royal Entourage to ensure all their needs are catered for in the lead-up to and during their stay at The Savoy. Personnel include a Savoy Butler, London concierge, chef and bartender, therapist, personal stylist/shopper, and hairdresser and make-up artist.

The Guest Services Team are on-hand to determine requirements from the moment a guest reserves The Royal Suite, facilitating anything from creating a unique London itinerary to arranging red carpet event preparations in-suite, and from devising bespoke menus and beverages to organising a private in-suite viewing of the latest fashion collection.

Guests of The Royal Suite will also enjoy the following as part of a stay at The Savoy:

• Round-trip airport transfers and VIP greet at the airport.
• Chauffeur-driven Rolls Royce at their disposal during a stay, subject to availability.
• Exclusive use of the private Royal Circle in the American Bar.

The new Royal Suite at The Savoy opened within weeks of the launch of the brand new luxury Savoy Suite, which can be configured as one- or two-bedroom accommodation, and boasts the same unrivalled views of the River Thames and iconic London landmarks.

About The Savoy

The Savoy, a Fairmont-managed five star hotel, is one of the most celebrated of London landmarks, standing on the Northbank of the River Thames. The hotel’s 267 luxury rooms and suites celebrate The Savoy’s dual historical influences, featuring either elegant English Edwardian design or sensational Art Deco style. Many afford breath-taking views across the River Thames, and of iconic London landmarks. Those staying in suites enjoy dedicated Butler service, and all guests have access to spa treatments, a private pool, and 24-hour gym in The Savoy’s Beauty & Fitness.

Fine dining has always been an integral part of The Savoy, since world-renowned chef Auguste Escoffier set an unprecedented standard in 1889. Today Kaspar’s Seafood Bar and Grill offers informal dining in a stylish Art Deco setting, whilst Gordon Ramsay’s Savoy Grill presents a British Grill menu with a French touch. Furthermore, Simpson’s-in-the-Strand and Knight’s Bar remain steadfastly at the top of every Londoner’s list for the best roast dinner and a sense of British tradition.

For cocktail connoisseurs, The Savoy boasts the award-winning Beaufort Bar, renowned for pushing the boundaries of mixology; and the legendary American Bar, the oldest surviving cocktail bar in London. The beautiful Thames Foyer, truly the heart of the hotel, is where The Savoy serves one of London’s finest traditional Afternoon Teas, a custom that remains a British institution. Fresh patisserie, chocolates and bespoke gifts are available for guests to purchase in Savoy Tea. The latest addition to The Savoy is Melba, a take-away gourmet counter enticing passers-by with the finest fare directly on the Strand.
